The OOA works with elected officials, state regulatory agencies, third party payors, and others to promote the profession of optometry.

Continuing Education

OOA's 12 geographic zones regularly sponsor meetings which offer CE and interaction with local ODs.

The EastWest Eye Conference held annually in Cleveland in October is sponsored by the OOA and provides over 250 hours of continuing education for doctors and staff, an exhibit hall and a Friday Night Party at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Web Site

The OOA website offers a wealth of information of interest to doctors. The Members portion of the website includes updates regarding Medicare, Medicaid, payors and other topics.

Opportunity Provider/Seeker Listing

OOA maintains a listing of employment opportunities for doctors which is also posted on the OOA website.
