The
"Vision Education Station" is a free-standing
kiosk which simulates the vision diseases cataracts,
glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy,
communicating the message of prevention/treatment
options.
An
interactive space-themed "Vision World"
demonstrates how light travels through the eye.
The
dimensions of the kiosk are approximately 7' tall
x 6' wide x 5' deep. Access to a nearby electrical
outlet is necessary. The Vision Education Station
can stay at the same location for anywhere from 2
weeks to 2 months.
Available
for display at no cost to your facility, contact
the OOA at 614.781.0708
or sos@ooa.org
to host the Vision Education Station!
Smaller,
tabletop displays are available for health fairs and other one-day
events. A bean bag toss is often used when children are involved
(space permitting), allowing them to test their skills while wearing
glasses simulating various eye diseases.
